When the weather turns cold early this week, I’m going to look at these photos from Ilex and Michael’s fall photos and think about the warm, glowing sun and remind myself it will one day once again be warm and cozy.

This is exactly the type of newborn session that gives me butterflies, that makes me feel like I’ve done so much more than just taken a few pictures, that keeps me smiling long after I’ve gone.
When you bring a new baby home, your whole world changes.
For your entire family. And I just can’t imagine not capturing that feeling of what life is really like at this raw, tender stage.
What baby Adaline looked like in her daddy’s arms, snuggled up against her mom, and on the lap of her proud big sister.

Such a refreshing session for me and so many things I love about it.
The alternative location, the light streaming through that rickety old fence, the scrunchy nose smiles from a pair of adorable sisters.
And that this wonderful family happens to live just around the corner from me.
