In my job, I get a peek into people’s lives during some of their happiest days. It’s one of my favorite things about capturing life.
I show up for a bit of time, to document how you live, love and interact with the ones that are most dear to you, and in turn, end up preserving the moments that are most dear to you too, coming as close to possible as bottling them up to transport you back in the days, weeks, years to come.
I know it may seem daunting, thinking of being photographed during the first days of having a newborn at home, when the days and nights run together, in the midst of transitions and growth. But that may ultimately be the biggest reason to in fact have this season archived with photos. It goes by in a blur, because it is a blur, but one you will cherish forever this way. Those babies change in the blink of an eye, but on camera, you can almost feel the weight of their tiny body against yours, smell that newborn scent, and hear those new baby sounds.
In my job, I get to do all of this for you, sometimes starting out as strangers, but leaving as friends.
And sometimes for friends that feel a bit more like family.
Love you so much sweet baby Claire!
You are one loved, adored, and precious baby girl!
