wichita engagement photographer: whitney and adam

This session was a long time coming.

Whitney booked it back in January…

…after she and Adam got engaged…

…after dating for six years!

As someone who also dated her hubby for six years before getting engaged, I can remember the excitement and sense of surrealness when you actually get engaged, get to plan a wedding and best of all, think about marrying your best friend after all those years.

Enjoy this special time.

Enjoy each other.

wichita family photographer: the winters

Oh, it was soo good to see Vickie and her family last weekend.  They are always so relaxed, and maybe one of these days they will share the secret to such well-behaved children.

Speaking of, her kiddos are growing up too fast!  I think Lacey has quite a bit of charm hidden in those dark eyes, and too bad Lance doesn’t show any personality in these photos.  Ha!

Without further ado…

There’s so much to say about these pictures, and yet I don’t have the words to do it.

But, I’ll try.  Ha.

I love the interaction captured in these.  This is a family that showed up and was able to “just be” in front of the camera.  That always makes the best photographs. The way David and Martin steal looks at each other.  The way they are all so comfortable with each other.  And, that last series of the boys horsing around in the field.

Well, let’s just say if those were my boys, those pictures would be printed, framed and hung on my walls tomorrow.

This shoot was such a pleasure.

Thank you.

wichita childrens photographer: reid at 5.5 months

I LOVE these pictures.

I had so much fun catching up with Ryan and Erica, and I can’t believe how much Reid has grown since I saw him last.

Of course, when I showed up and found out he hadn’t slept well and just went down for a nap, only to wake up 10 minutes later, I thought for sure our time together was going to be tough.

Just the opposite.

That plaid-wearing 20lb hunk of love didn’t disappoint.

wichita childrens photographer: avery at nine months

If Avery doesn’t grow up loving pink and accessories it won’t be due to a lack of trying on her momma’s part!  Amanda always has so many options for Avery’s sessions along with fun ideas, and I love her enthusiasm!

I’m also loving Avery’s intense blue eyes, but that’s nothing new.  She was full of expression for me, and I just can’t believe how big she is getting yet how she still looks so similar from when I first met her at three months.

Such a sweet baby girl.

ABOUT US

"It's a feeling."

One of the best ways I've heard my work described.

It's like a dream you can't quite get back to, but you know was so so good because when you woke up you had a smile on your face, and you keep trying desparately to remember all of the vivid details you can be present in that in-between state for just a little more  - the warmth of being together, the sounds, the laughter...the feelings.

Here's more on what our work together could be.
