wichita family photographer: the clarks

Sometimes, all the stars align for a photoshoot.

Sometimes.

And other times, our 70 degree weather turns to 50 and gusty.  And a little boy doesn’t want to take pictures.  And our window of opportunity is slim.

But.

We found the last bit of fall color in Wichita.  And we made the most of our short time together.  And still captured real moments.

A moment of a just past one-year-old before her new sister arrives in the spring.  And a growing family.

And that’s what matters.

It was so fun to see Avery again.

While she has grown since we last met, she still has the same crazy blue eyes and sweet little girl look down pact.

Except this time she gave me such a range of expressions – all as cute as her.

See you in three months Winter family!

wichita couples photographer: ben & laura

It is SO much fun photographing friends.  I get to share even more of their special life moments.  And tell Ben he looks like a murderer when he’s not smiling.

Something must be in the Wichita water…because these two are expecting!  This was such a fun session – Laura is just starting to get a cute little bump, and we met a few days before they found out if they were having a boy or a girl.  Such a great way to remember this time.

Congrats!

I have known Linnie for almost twenty years.  (How can it be that long?)  And, she is still the same cute, spunky girl I met when my family moved to Kansas.

My favorite part of this session?  The way Luke and Linnie look at each other.  So much admiration and excitement.

Man, Hiawatha produces some good couples!

wichita children’s photographer: miss k

All during my session with Kinsley I was trying to figure out who she took after.  Her mom or her dad.  I was certain she was a combo, but then once I got her photos uploaded to my computer it was pretty clear.  She’s got Jess’ dainty features, but Brian’s skin/hair.  And for sure her mom’s expressions.

Oh, she is a sweet baby, so serious and curious.

So glad I could finally meet her!

ABOUT US

"It's a feeling."

One of the best ways I've heard my work described.

It's like a dream you can't quite get back to, but you know was so so good because when you woke up you had a smile on your face, and you keep trying desparately to remember all of the vivid details you can be present in that in-between state for just a little more  - the warmth of being together, the sounds, the laughter...the feelings.

Here's more on what our work together could be.
