wichita baby photographer: caroline at home

These are quickly becoming my favorite sessions to shoot.

Maybe it’s because of the season.

The winter weather – more times full of grey skies and biting temperatures – isn’t exactly conducive to happy-kiddo shoots outdoors.

But more so because of what they’ll mean in the days, weeks, and years to come.

A snapshot of the way a family lives and loves, within the walls most sacred to them.

Where they share meals together, secrets together, dreams and realities together.

They open their door and hearts to me, and I do the same for them, pouring myself into capturing the moments that matter most, yet are often overlooked in the monotony of day-to-day.

An afternoon with the Elliots below.

Thank you for welcoming me into this season of life.

"It's a feeling."

One of the best ways I've heard my work described.

It's like a dream you can't quite get back to, but you know was so so good because when you woke up you had a smile on your face, and you keep trying desparately to remember all of the vivid details you can be present in that in-between state for just a little more  - the warmth of being together, the sounds, the laughter...the feelings.

Here's more on what our work together could be.
