wichita couples photographer: the summers

Scott and Whitney win the award for braving the worst weather I’ve encountered during this season’s fall sessions.  We were meant to have a mild November morning, and suddenly the temp dropped 10 degrees and the wind gusted more than necessary.

It was cold.

But, we made the most of it, and it sure made cuddly pictures a lot easier.  No need to pretend to need more body warmth!

If this is what a cold, grey morning produces, I’ll take it.

wichita children’s photographer: brynlee g

I love meeting new clients, and I love sessions like this.

Very casual, very flexible, very much following around Brynlee and just capturing moments we may not even know are happening.

If she’s this determined at age one, Brett and Megan have LOTS to look forward to in her teenaged years!

Especially with eyes like hers.  Holy moly.

You’ll see what I mean.

wichita children’s photographer: owen at eight months

It’s hard to believe Nate, Laura and I got together again to photograph Owen’s third out of four stages in his first year.  EIGHT MONTHS!

It’s crazy just how much he has grown and changed.  He’s crawling, curious about everything and even high-fives now.

But some things definitely stay the same with this little guy.  He is always so smiley and full of expression.

Can’t beat it.

wichita couples’ photographer: angela and gabe

World’s smiliest, giggliest couple alert.  Obvs.

(I had to shorten that obviously in honor of Angela because she likes to shorten everything.  In a very endearing, funny way of course.)

Oh, I’m so glad these two are now in our circle of friends.  After our session they asked me what my favorite sessions are – as in kids, families, couples, pets, etc.  I don’t really remember what I answered with, but afterwards I knew what I should have said.

I love photographing people like Ang and Gabe.  (See how I shortened her name there?)

They show up excited and happy to be documenting this period in their life together.  They connect so well together, so comfortably.

And, they really smile.  With their eyes, practically their whole faces.

Perf.

(As in perfect.)

wichita family photographer: the wilberts

OH. MY. GOSH.

If my future children are anything like Danny and Mandy’s kids, I’ll be more than blessed.

So happy.  So well-behaved.  So energetic.  SOOO beautiful.

I’m thrilled I got to spend a bit of my Sunday afternoon with this family, and can’t wait to share many, many favorites from their session.

What are you waiting for?  Take a peek!

ABOUT US

"It's a feeling."

One of the best ways I've heard my work described.

It's like a dream you can't quite get back to, but you know was so so good because when you woke up you had a smile on your face, and you keep trying desparately to remember all of the vivid details you can be present in that in-between state for just a little more  - the warmth of being together, the sounds, the laughter...the feelings.

Here's more on what our work together could be.
